一颗心

一颗心从此为你无家可回。。

Currently listening to this song on my winamp.

No intention to find the song on imeem yet, since I’m lying lazingly on my bed with the laptop on my lap. (that’s y it’s called a lap-top)

– Finally got an office laptop, that weighs TONS –

Been a fast week, lots of last-min stuff @ work. Clearing some backlogs. Lotsa research. Site launched but google nv re-index the site -.-

More updates the next time I’m back here. Getting tired. おやすみなさい。

Things have been fine..

my standard reply everytime I’m asked the question “how have you been”.

Reality has started to hit. Responsibilities have greatly increased. The bio clock’s tick is getting more obvious, especially from external factors.

While I’m still pretty happy working in my current company..

There are still many things that I’m not happy with. Many things that I know can be improved on but I don’t know how. Many things that belongs to the category of “I should do it” but there’s no one to guide.

Attended an ex-colleague’s wedding just now. Congratulations to the couple for their decade of love, having met exactly 10 yrs ago on 2nd June 1998. Exciting journey =)

I’m.. envious. 10 yrs. That’s long. And here I am still searching for the one! 😉

Been a tiring night. Called a friend with the intention to confirm if I should go ahead with my leave application for friday, only to realise that I may have to shift it as his dad suffered a stroke today and got hospitalised. Shocked as I’d always thought his dad is pretty healthy. Oh well.. take care dude. Your family needs you at this time =)

And I guess it’s almost time to sleep. Though I do have lots of thoughts while on the way home just now.

The Exercising Week

I feel so healthy this week: Pilates on Wed, Badminton on Sat, New Body (a class conducted by Amore) on Sunday.

Wow.

Ignore me if I start complaining that my muscles are aching.

一个像家的家

不管你来自哪里,只要你选择了这里,你就有责任让它变成一个世界上最像家的家。

羽翔爸 ended his entry with this statement. An inspirational entry I’d say. It kept me thinking, if I’ve been too self-centered, too concentrated in this little world of mine.

While I totally understand why foreigners flock to Singapore, I’m still appalled by the huge increase in numbers. Not being racist, but ya, I felt threatened. Everywhere I go, I see/hear foreigners. Doesn’t feel at home at all.

We should all work towards the same goal, be it we’re a true-blue Singaporean, or a converted PR/Citizen.

Doesn’t matter where you come from, since you chose Singapore, you have a responsibility to change it to a place that feels like a home.

It’s the longgggggggg weekend!

Woohoo~

It’s weird trying to feel high over a long weekend, especially when it’s coming to an end. =|

Oh well.. the ulcer came and go. Should be able to fully recover from it by tomorrow!

Busy weekend I’ve had.

A last minute arrangement on Sat afternoon, with LW & me getting too bored in the afternoon, we decided to jio the rest for ktv. Set for 8pm but all’s late. haha.. I always liked hanging out with this group of ex-colleagues, the feeling’s different as compared to hanging out with school-friends / classmates. Somehow or other, there’s bound to be common topics that all of us shared. =)

And I tried 心动心痛. According to LW it was a good first attempt. Woohoo! 配音 or backup vocal, is something that I’m trying to learn. With no music teacher. =X But still, good job to myself!

Skipped sunday’s aerobics coz Carolyn can’t make it.

So I ended up “earlier” at Fen’s place. After losing $7 on the mj table, I called it quits and went home. LOL. Got called home, leaving me with no choice. =| But I was back to Fen’s place after dinner, with the 2nd batch of mango mochi!

And! I’m ADDICTED TO Wii! OMG.. Fen! Pass to me when you’re done with it! XDDDDD

Monday was supposedly spent nuah-ing, but I made an attempt to shop at Phoon Huat (AGAIN). I’m starting to love that place. 😉

Hoping to do round 3 tonight.

Mango Mochi

hrmph.. the previous post is obviously posted only JUST. lol.. It had been in the draft folder since monday, been quite busy.

Finally decided not to be lazy, after being chided by someone, and made Mango Mochi! Pity I didn’t take pictures, I didn’t think the mochi look presentable enough. =| (You can get the recipe here though)

Next attempt shall be on sat. Anyone wanna come and lend a hand? hahahaha.. my dear young cousins? *wink*

The wrong side of the bed

*plop plop*

Woke up in a fright when I heard the sound.

As I moved my hands around my pillow.. “Damn it, where’s the bloody handphone?!”

Took me a while to realise, the small bolster at the side of the bed is somewhere else on the bed.

OH MY GOD. My handphone dropped from the wrong side of the bed. In the 6 yrs of its existence, this is the 2nd time my phone has fallen off from the bed, onto the wrong side.

Mine, is a bunk bed. Triple storey, inclusive of a pullout bed. A junior set that comes with built-in shelves and a flight of 4 steps (mini staircase with built-in cupboards) that brings you up to the upper bunk.

And I.. sleep on the upper bunk. The phone fell on the side of the wall.

I took a look at the alarm clock, it said 2.35am. Since it’s too early to retrieve the phone, I went back to sleep. Or rather, I tried.

Started perspiring, as the wall fan had already stopped due to the timer I set. Climbed down the stairs to reach the fan remote on the shelf at the other side of the room.

Climbed back up and attempted to sleep.

For the next 5 hours, I kept dreaming of the poor handphone that fell. 2 different locations, same dream – I dropped the phone behind some furniture. The 2nd dream happened in office at a new location. I dropped the phone behind the sofa in the pantry.

Subconciously I remembered that my phone dropped somewhere, and that I have to retrieve it when I wake up in the morning.

At the moment before I woke up (at the ending of the 2nd dream), it was Louis S who helped me retrieve the phone. I woke up feeling happy coz my phone was retrieved.

Then. Reality struck. My phone’s still stuck behind the bed. My first reaction was to put my barang-barang onto the side of the bed with the barrier. Then quickly climbed down and PULL the bloody-heavy double-storey bed.

A few pulls and I was already exhausted. The distance between the bed and the wall wasn’t big enough for me to walk through to retrieve the phone. As I peeped in, WAH! my phone’s stuck ONTO the wall! LOL.

Got dad to come in and pull the bed. One pull and it’s done. Duh. Why do the 2 genders have different strength level? =|

Did some vacuuming (saw some waste paper and money underneath) and attempted to push the bed back. Slightly easier, but couldn’t push the bed to the end. Too tired, and dad had already left for work.

And I was sweating all over. -.-!

For the whole day now, I’ve been yawning non-stop. I need my sleep…
