With the launch of SamsungGalaxy Tab, which is currently exclusively available to Singtel, Samsung & Singtel came together and organise a Fashion Concert “Where Fashion Meets Music” & Special Performance by a Korean artiste Se7en.
If you find him familiar, he acted in the Korean drama Goong S as Lee Hoo.
I’ve got more photos on my facebook album, all taken with my D90 with a 18-200mm lens which I borrowed from Zifen ๐ [ย Buzz if you want the high res ones. I’ll gladly share – although they aren’t very professionally taken! ๐ ]
When Huishan asked me if I’m interested in the Super Junior showcase, I went (to myself).. “who’s Super Junior?” (Despite having their poster in my room’s wall for the past years). Nevertheless, I said Yes!, seeing that I seldom reject invitations to concerts. So I went!
Before leaving house, I read DK’s entry on Super Junior. That was the FIRST time I watched their video. First time hearing the song “Sorry Sorry”. And I was impressed by their performance. A group of (currently active) 10 members, the dance was perfect! Very neat performance they had!
It was at the venue (Marina Bay Sands) that I realised, it was actually the Singtel-Samsung Galaxy S showcase (coz I only had ticket to the showcase and not the media release)!
While waiting for them to appear, I was playing around with my D90. Haven played much with it, need to find out what/where are the buttons/features. LOL. Turned out that the lens that I brought along didn’t perform as good as expected, my Canon Powershot SX120IS was so much better!
Enough said, here are some of the (better ones) photos!
I think I have their names correct. 9 of the 10 members were in town, Shindong isn’t in the above photos (couldn’t find a nice one of his in my cameras!). KyuHyun wasn’t in town.
Oh! Today’s (21 June) is Ryeowook’s birthday! They had a mini celebration for him during the showcase.
SuperJuniorย was recently here for the launch of Samsung’s new phone – Galaxy S. Had a chance to play with the phone, though it was only a short 5-10 minutes. And I’m totally sold.
What attracted me to the phone?
I thought it look like an iphone – iPhone lookalike
Sharp colours on screen – better & nicer looking photos, comparing with Huishan’s Omnia
Camera has the beauty-shot mode – a mode that Victor kept telling us about, when he was holding on to the review unit of Samsung NX10
Record HD videos! – very awed with this! HD leh!
Because it is an Android phone, I thought it might be a good idea to try it out. Having been (stuck) with my iPhone 3G (which I admit I had very wonderful memories with) for a year & a half, I think I need a change. :p
Samsung Galaxy S is currently solely available with Singtel. Ranging from $0 to $768 with contract. I can’t wait!
Oh! Here’s a photo of the 9/10 members of SuperJunior who came!
Mr Yuen Kuan Moon, Executive Vice President, Consumer Group, SingTel and Mr Sung-Hyun Moon, Managing Director, Samsung Asia together with Korean pop sensation, Super Junior.
I’m honoured to be one of the few who were invited to this closed door event! =D Thanks to Nanyate for the invitation!
Was supposed to meet Qiquan, Victor, Huishan & Vincent @ Raffles Place MRT at 6.45pm (at which I knew only at 6.25pm, thanks to QQ LOL). Sped to Cityhall MRT within 15mins, caught the incoming train (that says 1min arrival time when I reached the station). 5mins later I’m at RP MRT. Not knowing which direction the exit-escalator is, I clumsily walked onto a sitting bench – and my knees pained like hell for that few minutes. (must have hanged out with HS too often and I got claudsified -_-)
A long walk to the Singtel Training Centre @ Pickering Operations Complex. Sweating profusely by the time we reached. LOL
And saw a few familiar faces – DK, Nadia, Mus, Yin, Claudia, Daniel.
Taking our time to cool down, we had a quick (provided) dinner.
And it’s time to race on the F1 simulators! woohoo~ (I didn’t take much photos though)
Vincent started first!
But the moment he started racing… see the look on his face LOL
Lap time: 5:25
Next is QQ after a little bit of persuasion!
Lap time: 5.3x ?
And it’s MY TURN!! Felt so excited sitting in the simulator! And it’s FREAKING UNCOMFORTABLE!! How on earth can the racers tahan such sitting position?!?!??! No photo on my camera, but here’s a failed attempt by HS (using my camera)
Lap time: 4:06! I’m proud of myself! I do not possess a driving license FYI. ๐
(While I was racing, Victor was at the other simulator. HS was in possession of my camera, thus no video)
Why do everyone look so stress?! hahaha
HS’s up next!
EHHHH SHE BROKE MY RECORD BY 2SECS! #^$)@*#)*$%)W%*$)&%^#
Lap time: 4:04
HS you are PLAIN LUCKY! hahahaha!
More photos / videos will be up when I get hold of them!
Seriously, I’m amazed with the simulator! To think that I once aspired to be a game developer hahaahahha! I want to race again!! Can the simulator be publicly available PLEASE?
